
Dr. Jerrold D. Green
Director
Dr. Jerrold D. Green is the Global Advisor to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and a Senior Fellow at the UCLA Burkle Center for International Relations. He is also the Interim President and CEO of the Pacific Council on International Policy, a position he previously held for 16 years while serving as a Research Professor at the University of Southern California. Green was a Partner at Best Associates, a merchant banking firm, and held senior management roles at the RAND Corporation, where he received the RAND Medal for Excellence.
Green has lived and worked in Egypt, Iran, and Israel and has been a visiting fellow or lecturer in China, Cuba, and Australia. He has led U.S. Department of Defense delegations to Afghanistan and Iraq and served as an observer at Guantanamo Bay legal proceedings.
He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, the International Institute for Strategic Studies, The California Club (where he serves as Global Advisor), and the Pacific Council on International Policy, among others. He has also served on the Selection Committee for the U.S. Department of State’s Herbert Salzman Award and is an HFX Fellow at the Halifax International Security Forum.
Dr. Green is a Reserve Deputy Sheriff with the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department and was previously a Specialist Reserve Officer with the LAPD. He was honored by the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce with the Stanley T. Olafson Bronze Plaque Award for contributions to international trade.
He currently serves as a Director of the Whittier Trust Company and holds advisory roles with the Thomas Mann House, the Colburn School, and the USA Eisenhower Fellowships. He previously served on the U.S. Secretary of the Navy Advisory Panel and the U.S. State Department’s Advisory Committee on International Economic Policy. Green was also a technical advisor for Activision’s Call of Duty series.
