Sarah Yun is a Vice President in Whittier Trust’s Philanthropic Services Department. In this role, she leads the Young Adults Forward Fund, a family fund she has advised since 2021. The Young Adults Forward Fund envisions a Los Angeles where all young adults, particularly those transitioning from the child welfare or criminal justice system, thrive. The Fund prioritizes innovative housing solutions, opportunities for economic advancement and mental wellness support.

Sarah brings nearly two decades of social impact advising and leadership to Whittier Trust. Prior to Whittier Trust, Sarah was a Senior Program Officer in Housing & Economic Opportunity at the California Community Foundation. She previously served as a Grants Officer for the Cyber Initiative, Effective Philanthropy and Economy & Society programs at the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation.

Sarah began her career in international human rights and refugee work, areas she continues to support through her board service with LifeArk and Lumen, two organizations serving the global humanitarian field through information access and housing.

Sarah holds a bachelor’s degree in government from Harvard University and a master’s degree in business administration from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School of Management.
